Lars-Anders Carlson group has a postdoc opening – deadline 8 February.
The project will likely contain a good dose of cryo-ET and RNA virus replication, but they are actively encouraging talented and ambitious candidates with alternative backgrounds and their own ideas of how to approach the questions. In the framework of a large collaborative grant, we are working together with groups that have skillsets ranging from animal models to live-cell fluorescence imaging and mathematical modelling. This network could co-host postdocs who have interests beyond my group’s core expertise.
When it comes to virology and cryo-EM, we are well equipped with BSL2 labs and a local cryo-EM facility that has e.g. a Titan Krios and Aquilos2 at BSL2 level.
This is initially offer for a two-year fellowship, with good possibilities for extension well beyond that time.
Feel free to get in touch with Lars-Anders Carlson lars-anders.carlson@umu.se in case of questions. There’s more info on their lab website
Applications should be submitted through the university’s application portal
