We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate in Structural Biology to join my laboratory in the Department of Life Sciences and Centre for Bacterial Resistance Biology at Imperial College London.
The position is part of our Wellcome-funded research programme investigating the molecular mechanisms of horizontal gene transfer, including bacterial conjugation, bacteriophage-mediated transduction, and phage satellite biology.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong expertise in protein biochemistry, cryo-electron microscopy, single-particle analysis, and atomic model building to contribute to high-impact projects at the interface of structural biology, molecular microbiology, and bacterial evolution.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and ambitious research environment, with access to excellent cryo-EM infrastructure, including in-house instrumentation at Imperial and national facilities through LonCEN and eBIC.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are excited by mechanistic discovery, enjoy working across disciplines, and want to develop a strong independent research profile.
